Diploma in Christian Ministries

  • The broad objective of the Diploma in Christian Ministries Programme is to prepare people for service in Christian Ministry at one level beyond the certificate programme. 
  • This programme may be especially helpful for spouses serving with their mates in selected areas of church ministries.
  • The Diploma Programme is a two-year, 84-credit programme offering basic theological training as well as ministry related skills and vocational education for service in the church and in the larger society.

KCSE with a grade of C or C-


D+ plus and a certificate from a recognized university.


Course Curriculum

  • A total of 84 credit hours are required for the Post-secondary Diploma in Christian Ministries.
  • Core courses for common Post-secondary Diploma are 69 credit hours.
  • In addition, due to the diverse abilities of students who normally enrol in this programme, the programme offers 15 credit hours of electives.
  • Students can spread courses, in sequence but minimum number of hours per term is indicated for regular students who must finish in two years.

Mode of Delivery

  • The programme is designed for both residential and extension modes of delivery.
  • Students entering the programme from the Basic Education level will complete the course between two years or three years (depending on the mode of delivery).
