Prof. Omulokholi - The Chancellor of AIU

Prof. Watson Omulokoli -Chancellor

Prof. Omulokoli was ordained as a clergyman in 1986. He is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He holds an M.A. in Church History; and Warner Pacific College, Portland, Oregon. He holds a Bachelor of Theology in Biblical Studies, and a B.A. in Theology.  He hold a Ph.D. in Church History from Wheaton Graduate School,  Illinois, USA.

 He was among the first African scholars to teach as part-time lecturer at NEGST now  Africa International University (AIU) .He has served briefly as a member of AIU’s Governing Council.

Professor Omulokoli is an Associate Professor of Kenyatta University. He also serves as an adjunct Professor with Akrofi-Christaller Institute of Theology, Mission, and Culture, in Akropong-Akuapem, Ghana.

 In 2006-2008, he was a member of the Kenya Government “Taskforce for the Development of the National Strategy for University Education in Kenya”. As a noted scholar, he has written books, articles in refereed journals, and contributed chapters to several book publications.

A trusted and respected Christian leader, Prof. Omulokoli serves as Patron of Bible Translation and Literacy (BTL) East Africa( Kenyan counterpart of the global Wycliffe Bible Translators (WBT) and the Summer Institute of Linguistics SIL).

He is also a board member of several Christian institutions: Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the African Institute for Contemporary Mission and Research (AICMAR), Member of the Council of Governors of Pan Africa Christian University (PACU), Member of the Board of Governors of the Africa Evangelistic Enterprise (AEE), as well as on the Advisory Council of the African Christian Biography Project..

Currently, Prof. Omulokoli has been Yale University Visiting Fellow, New Haven, Connecticut, USA, for the 2010-2011 Academic Year, as well as a Research Scholar at the Overseas Ministries Study Center (OMSC).

Prof. Watson Omulokoli is married to Emmah and they have two sons and one daughter.
